We received tickets to the Spurs Vs Hornets game this past Wednesday night. They were awesome seats but to add to that the game was so close the entire time it was a blast to watch. A gentlemen in the military proposed to his girlfriend two rows behind us, I almost caught a shirt that was hurled towards our section (nearly throwing myself into the row in front of me) but then Michael caught one a little bit later. During the last seconds of the game we were down by three. Finley made a 3 pointer just as the buzzer was going off and the entire stadium was in an uproar. . .it was deafening. So we were in overtime and on our feet for basically the last five minutes of the game. Oh, and the Spurs had to win this game in order to progress plus Dallas had to win their game which we found out about right after the 3 pointer by Finley. Too cool!
It was a break we all needed. Michael has been working long hours at work, remodeling the house and teaching. Currently, he is also trying to prepare a presentation he will give in San Francisco to the U.S. Air Force. So we enjoyed being able to just sit back and relax as a family.
It was Lucia's first game. She was clapping and dancing. She loved watching the dancing at half-time by all of these little girls from a local dance company in town. Turner has been to a game before but he was too young to remember. He was yelling "deee-fense!" and clapping too. He even made the hand motion of dunking and asked Michael if he could teach him how to do that. It was a great night!
