Lucia, Santa and More

Every year we place a poinsettia on my grandparents grave. This year Lucia checked out the picture of her namesake, Lucia Mary Preiss.

Lucia and Santa. . .did you expect a different response? Turner asked how Santa would know what to bring Lucia since she can't tell him.


When the kids come in the front door the first thing they do is take off their shoes. I am not sure how it started but Lucia immediately sits down and Turner removes her shoes for her. It is nice to have such a helpful and loving big brother.

I spent many hours in November making fleece blankets for Christmas presents. I think I made about 11 blankets. . .it was nice to make them during the chilly weather they kept me warm while I was tying all of those knots!
