Our Newest Visitors

As Michael has been leaving for work the past few days he has seen a doe in our backyard. We all saw her on Sunday and have been trying to deter her from coming back as she has all but obliterated my tomato plants. We figured she was just sampling our backyard since the previous owners said that the only time any deer had come into the backyard was pretty few and far between. We had heard that during drought they would eat anything in sight that they wouldn't normally touch. Well......



I was going to get the mail from the backyard today and as I opened up the side gate something jumped and ran. As soon as I saw what it was I grabbed my camera and Turner. The fawn ran to our front yard and sat down under the trees.



I am assuming that the mom has been sleeping in our backyard but the fawn can't get over the gate so she sleeps on the side of the house in our landscaping. We are going to open the gate at night to see what happens and put out some water for them too. Pretty cool!
